SHOUT-OUT: If any of you have photos from my batch's trainings or anything that I can keep as momentos, please do pass them to me alright! I upgraded my computer and lost all the pictures I had of my times as a cadet, as a senior, and all of my wonderful junior's photos as well. Bo0ho0s! So please, hear my pleas. =/

My 04s just had their Passing Out Parade(POP) on 4th April. If only I knew it was their parade. If only I knew it was their absolute official last training. When Hafiza informed me about the gathering being held for them, I didn't realise the significance of the gathering. I didn't realise the importance of it. My juniors POP, and I wasn't even there to celebrate it with them. I truly detest myself at this point of time. So much for loving them. So much for appreciating their presence in my life. I wasn't even there to be with them, to mark their leaving the unit.

Subhanallah.

I feel rotten.

My much beloved 04s: I know majority of you are probably not even reading this, but if any of you do, please do spread around this words of mine alright?

Firstly, I'm truly sorry for not attending your POP. I know there's no way I can ever make up for it, and truly, I hate myself for not being there with you guys. You guys were really great-superb-undeniably-splendid juniors. The best I can ever wish for. You guys were an awesome lot with lots of potential and an amazing mixture of attitudes of spunk, zeal & bravery. Not forgetting a cheerful and super FUN lot of juniors.

The year spent with you guys hand-in-hand as juniors under Sir Ismail's batch of leaders were unforgettable. Even though it was only your first year, you guys were an impressive batch. Your potential as a NCC cadet was obvious though some others were lagging behind. We were always involved in some fierce competition against each other, you guys always wanting to prove you were better than us, the 02s. It was one heck of a time trying to prove our worth against you people. Nevertheless, all those memories left a significant impact in my life. Not forgetting the dinners we had after every training. All those laughter and crude jokes you guys made over the dining table. Superrb. =D
My second year with you guys who progressed and developed splendidly into an 02 was one filled with even more bitter-sweet memories. Being under our hand now, you guys were juniors who never failed to cheer me up with your antics. Your presence made life in Swiss(AIR) all the more fun. And when all hell broke loose once, you guys stood by me and supported me as your USM. Truly, I've never went through a more emotional and significant life-awakening experience. And when it was only a matter of time before the baton of leading the unit was handed over to you guys, I know I could do so with ease. I knew I could trust you guys with the handling of the unit. Though there were many disappointments prior to that especially with the backing down of the ASM and what-nots, there were still more pleasant surprises in which I was truly proud of every single one of you. I'm sure the experiences you guys went through in NCC as leaders developed you guys into stronger, better and splendid individuals be it as a cadet or anything else.

04s, I truly love each and every single one of you. Please do come back whenever you can to help your juniors out. Lastly, knowing you guys, working with all of you, would be a memory I would never want to replace. May all of you continue to succeed in life. Best wishes my dearest juniors for everything. Farewell. =)

To my newly appointed leaders, the 03s: Hahs! Finally, your turn to run the unit has arrived. I'm sure you are all excited in running the unit, in having your 02s and 01s under your wings now. Just make sure you guys never do forget the things taught by your seniors alright? Every little thing, no matter how small or insignificant it may be, would be helpful in your future appointments. I really really hope you guys would not disappoint your Staff Azean and your dearest Seargeant Major here! Do remember your promises to us to give your utmost best for the unit and I hope your promises would be reflected in the coming courses heading your way. Wahh! Gold Wing, Specialists' Course, Senior Specialists' Course for some, and many many other camps all just for you guys. You guys were so impatient last time right? Couldn't wait for your turn to come right? =D So do make full use of the opportunities lying ahead of you. Please please please (1000x) DO NOT repeat your past seniors' mistakes.
No matter what you guys do, always remember every action has its consequences, do put the unit before yourself when you decide on things relating to the unit. And never ever let your juniors step over your head. Look after them like they are your babies. Haha! Scold them, reprimand them when the need arises. Do not give them too much leeway. And yet do not restrict them too much. Let them blossom and grow to their maximum potential. Always ask for their feedback and have their best interests at heart.

Also, do remember to work along with each other alright? Even the Admin and Logistics Department are important people with whom all of you need to work closely with.

My dearest Training Head Paul, please please please come up with GOOD and FUN trainings for the unit. Do keep up your endless enthusiasm and never dying passion for NCC. Do work closely with your USM, ASM & the two PSs to work out the schedules alright? I don't know if things have changed much but whatever it is, please do work and refer to them every now & then. Plus check with your CLT s of course. =)

MKCK ASM!!! Don't be too gabrah kay? You've been doing a fantastic and wonderful job so far. So do keep it up. I have to thank you for keeping true to your words. For not breaking the promises made to me during my ROD. For not giving up on the unit and for putting in your absolute best all this while. I hope you continue with the same passion and spirit as the ASM. If you ever do need help for anything, do approach me kay? Jangan malu-malu lah! I won't scold you or anything. I'm super nice mah. No right to do so anymore pun. Haha! =p Same goes to the rest of the 03s. =)
MR USM NICHOLAS: WAHH!!! I have the most things to say to you. Overall in-charge what. So I shall save the long long and many many unspoken words for the time when I'll come back to school to visit and help you guys out alright? Get ready arh. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally. MUAHAHAH! =))
My NEW PLATOON SERGEANTS for both 01s and 02s! You guys better look after your man arh1 And make sure you lead by example. Try to make a note to always be a role model for your juniors. They are always looking at your every action. Your efforts in handling them would be reflected in your juniors so I better see good juniors when I come back huh! =D Don't repeat my mistakes no matter how small it may be. Always try to be better than your previous seniors. Oust and best them at their own game. Prove that you deserve your appointments and show that you guys have what it takes man!!! =))

TO THE REST OF MY DAHLING 03S: You guys are brilliant in your own ways. Do not be dampen if you didn't get the post of your choice. Your time to shine will come, but only if you make an effort to deserve it in the first place. Do not give up and start your role as your respective positions on the wrong foot. You guys should know from previous seniors that everyone has an equal chance of earning a good rank. Just work hard and prove your worth! =D I'm equally proud of all of you for making it this far. Love all of you! =)

Man, I'm getting all emotional now. This has been an awfully long entry and a confusing one for those unfamiliar with the terms used in NCC or other uniform groups. I'm really sorry. I just needed to write all this down so I would never forget how I forgot one of the most important moments in my life. And I'll never forgive myself for that slip of mind. Unexcusable man. =/

This is not even inclusive of MY experiences as a cadet and a USM. Next time then. It would take another awfully long post just to tell my chapter of my NCC life story...
