title : mlep camp
Heya.

Just got back from MLEP LITERATURE CAMP 2008. I've got a thousand things to say about the camp.

The first: the camp was BOOOORRRIIIINNNGGG. Made me regret not going ahead with my plan to meet the doctor and feign sickness just to get that valuable MC, just so I could SKIP the camp. Seriously, I was dreading going for the camp on Friday afternoon. I didn't want to board the bus. I was even tearing man. If only we weren't compelled to attend, I wouldn't come, I tell you.

For the first two days, I suffered silently in agony. I was sleeping during lectures when I was sitting at the front most table. And to make it worse, it was smack-dab in the centre, infront of the lecturer. But that did not deter me one bit from sleeping lah.

Second: The food there was simply extraordinary. Why? They served us 5 meals each day, and each meal was a new menu. Plus, they never failed to impress. SEDAAAAPP!

Third: We had comfortable, wonderful residence. It was as though we were living in some kind of resort. There were air-conditioning in every room lah! Plus a wadrobe for each person in the room. And a katil with selimut and bantal. Comfortable ones. Not forgetting the toilet. There's a toilet in every room lagik! BEST!

Fourth: Most TPJC-ians were nice and friendly. =) Oh, a lot of them were the cast from TPJC's Manifestasi 2008. They were really outstanding when we were asked to act out a scene from a drama script later on. They can really act lah.

Fifth: We had the same lecturer for three days straight. I'm really sorry, but he's really boring.

Sixth: We went Singapore Press Holdings and East Coast Park.

Seventh: They never failed to impress me with the amount of budget put aside for this camp alone.

Eighth: We had comfortable, nice, big coaches no matter how short the trip was.

Ninth: I had wonderful wonderful room-mates. (Filzah, Amalina & Farah) =D

Tenth: They organised a forum or dialogue session with two 'penulis mapan' for us on the second night. The highlight of this event- We were asked to wear BAJU MELAYU(guys) and BAJU KURUNG(girls), which made everyone jumping in excitement because it really felt like some Perjumpaan Raya. Anyways, everyone looked pretty/handsome and very MELAYU. cool.

Eleventh: We saw many look-alikes from TPJC. Okay, not manylah, just two. One guy really looked so much like this guy from my school from his side view, we all couldn't stop staring at him lah. Maybe now he thinks we're a bunch of flirts. When really, we didn't mean to STOP AND STARE. Really. It was as though we were looking at a long-lost twin of our schoolmate or something. The other one was Fir's look-alike, who happens to be his own friend. Cool.

Twelth: We got to order McDonald's in the middle of the night. We were really cool and happening. We actually ate in the middle of the carpark. The whole lot of Innovians.

Thirteenth: We got to sit in the auditorium which was so big and grand and undisputably shiok, the Innovians actually slept the whole way through lecture. *gasps!* (This was from staying up so late eating McDonald's!)

Fourteenth: Third day was way way better, and I ended up going home liking MLEP after all.

Fifteenth: They had Nuradee to perform for us, who sang "Melayu-jiwa" kind of songs. I really really liked their performance. It was superb.

Sixteenth: We had a Malay dance item performed for us as well.

Seventeenth: I slept soundly again when the guest speaker was having his speech. My eyes really couldn't take it lah.

Eighteenth: I had fun on the last day. Only.

Nineteenth: The MLEP students from Innova actually really bonded during the camp. At least I talk to most of them now. =)

Twentieth: I can tolerate MLEP. For now. =D

That sums it all.
I'll put up the pictures when I have them.
Oh, NUMBER TWENTY-ONE: JALIAH was the photographer. A brilliant one. Wo0ho0! (See J, I'm so nice to you!) And I owe you banyak-banyak for the jacket. I would've had died from freezing otherwise. Thanks Jaliah! =D

I'm killing time away before the rehearsal for the Deklamasi Sajak we're organising this Wednesday. Good thing is, at least I get a feel of wearing the college's blazer. Haha.
