title :
The Gems

Their sparkles would blind Mankind.
It takes just One,
To light up the whole room.
Man engaged in duels.
Seeking possession of whatever colour
They could have.
They were that significant,
The gems.

Then one night,
In the steel of the dark skies,
A thief creeps into the room.
The room where all the gems were placed.
His eye caught sight of only
Three Gems standing.
They seemed to stand out amonsgt the rest.

The colours were different.
Unique in their own ways possible.
Purple, it sang sweet melody.
Soothing his ever beastful heart.
Orange, it screamed jubilancy.
It lifted his spirits like never before.
Black, the final one.
He somehow knew his rebellious
heart could be tamed by it.
Despite the darkness it exuded.

For eight months,
He couldn't leave the gems.
Not even for a moment.
Each night, he cleaned the gems.
It showed his love for the colours.

But one night,
He sold them to a merchant.
Blinded by the fortune,
Dubious to his very own greed.
It got him quite a fortune,
Oh they did.
Because they were the only kind
In this world.
And the thief was so stupid.
To have not seen that.

That night,
He picked his towel,
Reached out into the drawers of
His bedside table.
He got frantic shortly later.
He realised his gems were missing.

He tried so hard,
Breaking into each house,
Each museum available.
In search for the colours.
But try as he could,
It was unfound.

Life was hollow without the Gems.
He still couldn't believe
He gave the Gems away.
Oh, how he's missed the
Sweet melody,
Cheery optimism,
And his roots.

But what could be done?
He should have known better.
The Gems were after all,
The only kind in this world...

His empty heart.
It calls out to the colours every night.
His detached soul.
It keeps berating him.

Because no matter how much tears he bled,
No matter how hard he scoured the whole world,
They were gone.
His precious diamonds.

But oh, he's a thief after all.
He's stolen others' precious belongings.
It would do him good.
A taste of his own medicine.

He's probably the worst fool
The World has ever seen.

God, I want it to stop.
Where do I start?
I want it to start.
Where do I stop?
I think I've lost it all.
