title : shied away

My dull, lackluster and super long day yesterday was brightened thanks to an unknown small little boy.

I was walking home when I heard him cry from behind (cause he was walking in front of me with his mum). He was whining and crying out super loudly in between huge sobs,

"I WANT THE WAFFLE WITH CHOCOLATE ICE-CREAM ON IT! *sobs sobs* I REALLY WANT IT! *sobs sobs* MUMMY I REALLY WANT THE WAFFLE WITH CHOCOLATE ICE-CREAM ON IT!!!"

Omg so cuteee!
I know, I know, he's just whining and crying out loud which would be super annoying for most of you. And he sounds spoilt, but really, I have no idea why I smiled like a fool upon hearing his cries.

Maybe cause I'm so tired of the all the hypocrisy and webs of deceits that's surrounding me everyday upon reaching adulthood, a small boy's cries of pure naivety and simple innocence moved me beyond words.

It's a scary world we're living in.
One we're not even cognizant of due to the sheltered life we're living in this minuscule country. One where we're sheltered from all the inanity, violence and political doomsday that's currently being inflicted on people from all corners of the world.
Ironic isn't it?
How much of a 'bulwark' this little-red-dot country can actually provide...

Watching Kite Runner just further strengthened my conviction.
I've not read the book and though I know most movies adapted from novels do not bring justice to the original novels, I believe it's a different case for this.
It's a super awesome story, one which left me with an expanded weltanschauung.
And I'm finally fully persuaded to read the novel now. =)

And I'm fully aware of how random and unorganised I've been in this entry.
It's just that my train of thoughts keeps switching directions, I'm having a hard time focusing as well.
Oh wells. Maybe I'm just exhausted from all the crying from watching Kite Runner. =p

Oh and...

I'm slowly transforming from a 2PM fan to a BEAST's fan.
The songs currently playing on my playlist are simply mind-blowing.
They keep me exalted! =p
